The Paul Pratt Memorial Library welcomes Jane O'Neail of Culturally Curious back for a series of five online art lectures.
Join us as Jane expertly guides us on a virtual tour of the works of Paul Gauguin, Faith Ringgold, Georgia O'Keeffe, Earth Art, and John Singer Sargent. Each month she'll focus on one artist and explore their life and art. Sign up today to receive the online meeting access information. Tonight's lecture: Paul Gauguin: Escape to Tahiti Escape to the South Pacific with the vibrant colors of Post-Impressionist painter Paul Gauguin. Learn more about Gauguin (the infamous frenemy of Vincent Van Gogh), his career in France and his decision to leave it all behind. Enjoy the incredible images inspired by the Tahitian people and landscape and find out why success eluded this notorious artist during his lifetime.
