Program Description

Event Details

India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi rode a wave of Hindu nationalism to a historic reelection in 2019. His first order of business was to revoke the special status granted to the Kashmir region, inflaming the rivalry between India and Pakistan. How will the Kashmir situation affect the region, both economically and politically?

Great Decisions is a nation-wide, foreign policy discussion group offered by the Foreign Policy Assocation, a non-profit, non-partisan organization whose aim is to better inform members of the community about world issues, engage people in informative discussions, and to inspire others to become involved citizens. Registered participants will receive a complimentary copy of the Great Decisions Briefing book as long a supplies last. Discussions will be lead by informed scholars on a variety of topics found in the Briefing book. This program is free to the public. Participants may attend one, several, or all of the eight weekly sessions.

Seating is limited. Availability of books are limited. This program is sponsored in part by The Friends of the Cohasset Library, the Paul Pratt Memorial Library, and by a grant from Mass Humanities.
