Event Details
"The Shape of Paint" is the debut solo show for South Shore Art Center gallery artist Lori Fopiano. Join her on Saturday March 14, 2-4pm, for an opening reception. The exhibit runs through the end of April.
Marshfield-based artist Lori Fopiano creates from her home studio, bringing a deeply personal perspective to her role as a gallery artist with the South Shore Art Center. While her journey began in the structured world of realism, she has since pivoted toward contemporary abstraction to better explore the physical and emotional limits of her medium. Her current work centers on abstract landscapes and non-representational pieces, characterized by bold, unexpected color harmonies and a restless curiosity. Her debut solo exhibition, " The Shape of Paint" serves as an investigation into the
physical life of the medium, where history is built through layers of pigment and mixed media. By weaving together gritty textures, atmospheric color, and deliberate geometry, Lori transforms the canvas into a site of discovery that invites the viewer to look beyond the surface. This collection will be on display at the Paul Pratt Memorial Library throughout March and April, with an opening reception on Saturday, March 14, from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. All are welcome to meet the artist and enjoy light refreshments while experiencing the work.
