Join Professor Rondae Drafts from MUSIC dance.edu for the presentation Hip Hop Popular Culture: Where's the Beef? Kendrick Lamar and Drake. 

Hip Hop as a culture has influenced the world.  According to Land and Stovall (2009) hip hop began in the late 1970s, and is a billion dollar, international industry which involves music, clothing, break dancing, electronics, media, and DJs.  The culture has become a way of life for many young people. This lecture will ask students to analyze the current state of Hip Hop, Kendrick Lamar, and Drake.
